What should I do after the domain name has been assigned to my account?
Solution
The first thing you should do is change the DNS information to your current host’s DNS.
To do this you will need to go to the place where you purchased your domain. This is called a domain name provider. Godaddy is a domain name provider, and if you purchased your domain through Domain Mage, that is the domain name provider you will be using.
In Godaddy, click on “Advanced Details” on the right hand side of the domain name. At the bottom left you will see a heading entitled, “Nameservers”. Click on the link “manage”.
Choose the option, “I host my domains with another provider” and put your providers DNS information in the first two boxes. You will need to obtain this information from your hosting provider. (If you are using
CPmage, then CPmage will tell you these namesevers.)
Click the OK button.
Now you can log into your CPmage, WPmage, your FTP program … (i.e., whatever option you’re using) - and build your sites.
