    Installing CPMage on Dedicated/VPS Server

Solution CPMage works %100 on All Servers with cPanel x x2 x3 Standard installed (modified themes may encounter issues) . However there are some server configuration you will need to make sure are set.

First try to install CPmage and if you get errors, then work through this list as much as you can yourself, and even possibly send it to your Host to help if you have Managed service.

Requirements for CPmage on Dedicated/VPS server.

-PHP5 - You may have a dual install of PHP4/5 in which case check your .htaccess on that particular sites to make sure it is configured to PHP5. you may also want to make sure all new sites created by default are assigned to PHP5

-suPHP Enabled - This allows PHP to run as a User. please make sure in addition to being enabled - it assigned to the account as s whole

-cURL enabled - This allows the Mage to emulate a web browser. :-)

-MySqli installed (please note that is MYSQLi) there is an i there

-Disable safe_mode and open_basedir in PHP. But please ensure you ask them to disable it for the whole account and NOT just to upload a custom php.ini, since this will not be enough

-Configure BOTH Addon AND Subdomains to unlimited. The most common problem we come across is Addon and Subdomains are disabled. You may have to do it separately for each.

-Domain you install CPMage on needs to be the MASTER Domain or installed via WHM. Cannot be an ADDON/Subdomain.

-Lastly, this is not directly related, but a frequent source of errors among advanced users, is you Need to install CPMage on a new Domain added via WHM. However..... PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

After CPmage is installed, you do not need to touch your cPanel again. That means you do NOT need to create sub/addon/WHM domains for each Mage site. CPmage acts a cPanel skin and will do the sub-domain creation automatically for you. If you have already tried to create a domain as a sub/WHM and then add it to CPMage, you will get lots of nice errors. :-)
